Philosophy and Values
This priceless summer season can prepare your child with many individual skills, both social and physical. Out & About Day Camp is a summer alternative that goes beyond just recreation or a summer care option; it’s where "the other learning" takes place. Kids come to Out & About to have fun, so we welcome them with more traditional camp fun than they ever could have imagined. But we don’t stop there. We carefully plan our summer of fun to do something BIG and LONGLASTING for our campers – we equip them with character values that help them to better understand their roles in their community and how to be a better person. Out & About Day Camp focuses on six core character values that highlight the essence of camp:
Respect, Responsibility, Trustworthiness, Caring, Fairness, and Citizenship.
Each week of camp we will highlight one of these traits to foster active learning in our camp setting.
